The HiddeN ORDER

The Hidden Order is a digital crystal definer exploring how crystals form through a structured, scientific lens. It organizes each crystal using four key parameters: crystal structure, chemical composition, hardness, and environmental conditions.
The experience encourages users to wander, observe, and examine details closely, moving between crystals in a way that feels both analytical and exploratory.
mobile version
The mobile experience was designed to be intuitive, fluid, and easy to explore on a smaller screen.
Item pages were transformed into card-based views, allowing for smoother navigation and a lighter, more accessible interaction, while preserving a sense of wandering and discovery.
Research & Inspiration
Before starting the design, I focused on building the foundation of the project. I wanted to create a wandering experience, similar to being in nature, guided by a sense of discovery. At the same time, I aimed to allow users to explore each crystal through a scientific perspective, understanding how its complex form develops over time.
I created user flows and wireframes to define the structure and logic of the system. My visual inspiration combined nature and science, bringing together geometry, order, and natural formations.
Micro-Interactions
I focused on designing subtle micro-interactions that feel smooth and purposeful, helping surface the information relevant to each crystal. I wanted to bring movement into the system, making the analysis feel dynamic, and subtly reflecting how crystals form and evolve in nature.
